And it shall be, when you cross over the Jordan into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, if by hearing you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep and to do all his commandments which I command you today, then the Lord your God will set you above all the nations of the earth.

And all these blessings shall come upon you and shall find you, if by hearing you will hear the voice of the Lord your God

Blessed are you in the city, and blessed are you in the field.

Blessed be the offspring of your womb and the produce of your land, the calves of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep

Blessed shall be your storehouses and your remaining things

Blessed are you in your coming in, and blessed are you in your going out.

The Lord your God will give your enemies who have risen against you broken before your face; by one way they shall go out toward you, and by seven ways they shall flee from before your face.

May the Lord send upon you the blessing in your storehouses and in everything to which you may lay your hand on the land that the Lord your God is giving you

May the Lord your God establish you for himself as a holy people, in the manner he swore to your fathers, if you listen to the voice of the Lord your God and walk in his ways

And all the nations of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord has been called upon you, and they shall fear you.

And the Lord your God will multiply you for good, with the offspring of your womb and with the produce of your land and with the offspring of your livestock, on the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.

May the Lord open to you his good treasure, the heaven, to give the rain to your land in its season, to bless all the works of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

May the Lord your God set you as a head and not as a tail, and you shall be then above and not below, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today to keep and to do.

You shall not turn aside from all the words which I command you today, to the right nor to the left, to go after other gods, to serve them

And it shall be, if you do not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep and to do all his commandments which I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and shall overtake you.

Cursed are you in the city and cursed are you in the field

Cursed be your storehouses and your leftovers

Cursed are the offspring of your womb and the produce of your land, the calves of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep.

Cursed are you in your going out, and cursed are you in your coming in.

May the Lord send upon you poverty and drought and destruction upon everything to which you may lay your hand, whatever you may do, until he utterly destroy you and until he destroy you quickly, because of your evil practices, because you have forsaken me

May the Lord join the death to you until he consumes you from the land into which you are entering there to inherit it

may the Lord strike you with bewilderment and fever and chill and inflammation and with slaughter and with blight and with mildew, and they shall pursue you until they have destroyed you

And the heaven over your head shall be bronze, and the earth beneath you iron

May the Lord give the rain of your land dust, and dust from heaven shall come down upon you until he wear you away and until he destroy you

May the Lord give you to be a slaughter before your enemies; by one way you shall go out against them, and by seven ways you shall flee from before them, and you shall be in dispersion in all the kingdoms of the earth.

And your dead shall be food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no one driving them away.

The Lord will strike you with the Egyptian sore in the seat, and with wild itch and scab, so that you will not be able to be healed.

May the Lord strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind

And you shall be groping at midday as the blind gropes in the darkness, and your ways shall not prosper, and you shall be wronged and plundered all your days, and there shall be no one helping you.

A woman you shall take, and another man shall have her; a house you shall build, and you shall not dwell in it; a vineyard you shall plant, and you shall not gather its grapes.

Your ox slaughtered before you, and you shall not eat of it; your donkey seized from you, and it shall not be restored to you; your sheep given to your enemies, and there shall not be to you one helping you

Your sons and your daughters given to another nation, and your eyes shall look longing toward them, and your hand shall have no power

The produce of your land and all your labors a nation that you do not know shall eat up, and you shall be wronged and crushed all your days.

And you shall be driven mad because of the sights of your eyes which you will see.

May the Lord strike you with a grievous sore on the knees and on the shins, so that you are not able to be healed from the sole of your feet to the top of your head.

May the Lord bring you and your rulers whom you shall appoint over yourself away to a nation which neither you nor your fathers know, and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone.

And you shall be there for a proverb and a parable and a tale among all the nations to which the Lord may lead you away there.

You shall bring out much seed into the field, and you shall bring in little, for the locust shall consume them.

You shall plant a vineyard and work it, but you shall not drink wine from it, nor be glad because of it, for the worm shall eat it up.

Olive trees shall be for you in all your borders, and you shall not anoint yourself with oil, because your olive tree shall fail to cast its fruit.

You shall beget sons and daughters, and they shall not be yours, for they shall go away into captivity.

All your trees and the produce of your land the rust shall consume.

The alien who is among you shall rise over you higher and higher, but you shall go down lower and lower.

He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him; he will be head, but you will be tail.

And all these curses shall come upon you and shall pursue you and overtake you, until he utterly destroys you and until he destroys you, because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes, as many as he commanded you.

And they shall be in you for signs and wonders, and in your offspring forever.

because you did not serve the Lord your God with gladness and with a good heart because of the abundance of all things

And you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you in hunger and in thirst and in nakedness and in the lack of all things; and he will put an iron yoke on your neck until he destroys you.

The Lord will bring upon you a nation from far away, from the end of the earth, like the rush of an eagle, a nation whose voice you will not hear.

a nation shameless in face, which will not respect the face of the old man and will not show pity to the young

and it will devour the offspring of your cattle and the produce of your land, so as not to leave to you grain, wine, oil, the herds of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep, until it destroys you

And he shall crush you in all your cities until your high and fortified walls, on which you have trusted, are torn down throughout all your land, and he shall distress you in all your cities which the Lord your God gave you

And you shall eat the offspring of your womb, the flesh of your sons and your daughters, which the Lord your God gave you, in your distress and in your affliction with which your enemy will afflict you.

The man who is tender among you and very delicate will begrudge with his eye the brother and the wife in his bosom and the children left over, who may be left behind

so as to give to one of them from the flesh of his children whom he may eat, because nothing is left to him in your distress and in your affliction with which your enemies may afflict you in all your cities

and the tender woman among you and the very delicate woman, who has not tried the sole of her foot to walk on the earth because of delicacy and because of tenderness, will look with evil eye on her husband in her bosom and on her son and her daughter

and her afterbirth that comes out through her thighs and the child that she may bear, for she will eat them for want of all things secretly, in your distress and in your affliction with which your enemy will afflict you in all your cities

if you do not listen to do all the words of this law, the things written in this book, to fear this honorable and wondrous name, the Lord your God

and the Lord will make strange your blows and the blows of your offspring, great and wondrous blows and evil and enduring diseases

And he will bring back upon you all the affliction of Egypt, the evil one, which you feared because of their presence, and they will cling to you.

and every disease and every plague not written in the book of this law the Lord will bring upon you until he utterly destroys you

And you shall be left few in number, because you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God.

And it shall be, as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and you shall be removed from the land into which you are going there to inherit it.

And the Lord your God will scatter you among all the nations, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, and you will serve there other gods, wood and stone, which you did not know, you and your fathers.

But even among those nations there will not be rest for you, nor shall there by any means be a standing for the sole of your foot; and the Lord will give you there a heart failing and eyes failing and a soul wasting away

And your life shall be hanging before your eyes, and you shall fear day and night, and you shall not trust your life.

In the morning you will say, How might it become evening? and in the evening you will say, How might it become morning? because of the fear of your heart with which you will fear, and because of the sights of your eyes that you will see.

And the Lord will turn you back to Egypt in ships, and by the way of which I said, You shall no longer see it again; and you shall be sold there to your enemies as male slaves and female slaves, and there will be no one buying.

These are the words of the covenant which the Lord commanded Moses to establish with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb
