a man to whom God will give wealth and possessions and glory, and he lacks nothing for his soul from all of which he may desire, and God will not empower him to eat from it, because a strange man will eat it; this is vanity and evil affliction.

If a man should beget a hundred and live many years, and the days of the years of his life should be many, yet his soul will not be satisfied with good, and indeed he had no burial, I said, a miscarriage is better than he.

For who knows what is good for man in the life, the number of the days of the life of his vanity, and he made them in a shadow? For who will declare to man what will be after him under the sun?
