1
And all the congregation of the sons of Israel set out from the wilderness of Sin according to their camps by the command of the Lord, and they camped in Raphidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
3
And the people thirsted there for water, and the people were grumbling there against Moses, saying, Why is this that you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?
5
And the Lord said to Moses, go before this people, and take with you from the elders of the people, and the rod with which you struck the river, take in your hand, and you shall go.
6
Behold, I am standing there before you on the rock in Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out from it, and the people shall drink. And Moses did thus before the sons of Israel.
9
And Moses said to Joshua, Choose for yourself strong men, and go out, draw up in battle array against Amalek tomorrow; and behold, I stand on the top of the hill, and the rod of God in my hand.
12
But the hands of Moses were heavy, and having taken a stone, they put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, here one and there one, and the hands of Moses became steady until sunset.
