And she bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah
Jokshan also begot Sheba and Teman and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan became Reuel and Nabdeel and Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim
And the sons of Midian: Gepha and Apher and Enoch and Abira and Elraga; all these were sons of Keturah.
And Abraham gave all his possessions to Isaac his son.
And to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and he sent them away from Isaac his son while he was still living, eastward, to the land of the east.
And these were the years of the days of Abraham’s life, as many as he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.
And Abraham expired and died in a good old age, an old man and full of days, and was gathered to his people.
And Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the double cave in the field of Ephron, son of Zohar the Hittite, which is opposite Mamre.
the field and the cave which Abraham acquired from the sons of Heth, there Abraham and Sarah his wife were buried
And it came to pass after Abraham died, that God blessed Isaac his son, and Isaac dwelt by the well of Vision.
And these are the generations of Ishmael, the son of Abraham, whom Hagar, Sarah’s maidservant, bore to Abraham.
And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by name, according to their generations: Ishmael’s firstborn, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Nabadeel, and Mibsam
and Masma and Idouma and Massee
and Hadad and Teman and Jetur and Naphish and Kedemah
These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names in their tents and in their encampments, twelve rulers according to their nations.
And these were the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred thirty-seven years; and failing, he died and was added to his kin.
And he dwelt from Havilah as far as Shur, which is opposite Egypt, as far as one comes to the Assyrians; in the presence of all his brothers he dwelt.
And these are the generations of Isaac, the son of Abraham. Abraham begot Isaac.
And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Syrian from Mesopotamia, sister of Laban the Syrian, for himself as wife.
And Isaac prayed to the Lord concerning Rebekah his wife, because she was barren; and God listened to him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
And the children were leaping in her, and she said, If so it is to be for me, why then is this to me? And she went to inquire from the Lord.
And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples shall be separated from your belly, and one people shall prevail over another people, and the greater shall serve the lesser.
And her days to give birth were fulfilled, and behold, there were twins in her womb.
And the firstborn son came out red, all over like a hairy skin, and they called his name Esau.
And after this his brother came out, and his hand was holding Esau’s heel, and his name was called Jacob; and Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah bore them.
And the young men grew up, and Esau was a man knowing how to hunt, a rustic man, but Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in a house.
And Isaac loved Esau, because his hunting was food for him; but Rebekah loved Jacob.
And Jacob boiled a stew, and Esau came from the field, faint.
And Esau said to Jacob, Let me taste of this red pottage, for I am failing; therefore his name was called Edom.
And Jacob said to Esau, Sell me today your birthright to me.
And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and why then are these birthrights to me?
And Jacob said to him, Swear to me today, and he swore to him; and Esau sold the birthright to Jacob.
And Jacob gave to Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose up and went away; and Esau despised the birthright.
