And Joseph was not able to restrain himself before all those standing beside him, but he said, Send everyone away from me. And no one was standing beside Joseph any longer when he made himself known to his brothers.

And he let out a voice with weeping, and all the Egyptians heard, and it became heard in Pharaoh’s house.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph; is my father still alive? And his brothers were not able to answer him, for they were disturbed.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me, and they came near. And he said, I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

Now therefore do not be grieved, nor let it seem hard to you that you sold me here, for God sent me before you for life

For this is the second year of famine on the land, and there are still five years remaining in which there will be no plowing nor harvest.

For God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on the earth and to nourish a great survival for you

Now therefore it was not you who sent me here, but rather God, and he made me like a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and ruler of all the land of Egypt.

Hurry then, go up to my father and say to him, Thus says your son Joseph: God has made me lord of all the land of Egypt; come down then to me and do not delay.

and you shall dwell in the land of Goshen of Arabia, and you shall be near me, you and your sons and your sons’ sons, your sheep and your oxen and all that is yours

and I will sustain you there, for still five years of famine remain, lest you and your sons and all your possessions be destroyed

Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of Benjamin my brother, that it is my mouth speaking to you.

So tell my father all my glory in Egypt, and all that you have seen, and hasten and bring my father down here

And falling upon the neck of Benjamin his brother, he wept on him, and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

And having kissed all his brothers, he wept over them, and after these things his brothers spoke to him

And the report was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, Joseph’s brothers have come; and Pharaoh and his household rejoiced.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this: fill your sacks and depart into the land of Canaan.

And take your father and your possessions, and come to me, and I will give you of all the good things of Egypt, and you shall eat the marrow of the land.

And you command them to take wagons for them out of the land of Egypt for your children and for your wives, and having taken up your father, come here.

And do not spare your eyes for your goods, for all the good things of Egypt will be yours.

And the sons of Israel did so. And Joseph gave them wagons according to the things spoken by Pharaoh the king, and he gave them provisions for the way.

And to all he gave double garments, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of gold and five special garments

And to his father he sent according to these same things, and ten donkeys carrying from all the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses carrying loaves for his father for the journey

And he sent away his brothers, and they went; and he said to them, Be not angry on the way.

And they went up out of Egypt and came into the land of Canaan to Jacob their father

And they reported to him, saying, Joseph your son is alive, and he himself rules over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s mind was astonished, for he did not believe them.

And they spoke to him all the things spoken by Joseph, as many as he said to them; and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to take him up, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.

And Israel said, It is great for me if Joseph my son is still alive; going, I will see him before my dying.
