But Israel set out, he and all that was his, and came to the well of the oath, and sacrificed a sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac

And God of Israel said in a vision of the night, saying, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, What is it?

saying, I am the God of your fathers; do not fear to go down into Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation

And I will go down with you into Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will put his hands on your eyes.

And Jacob rose up from the well of the oath, and the sons of Israel took up their father and their baggage and their wives on the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him

And having taken up their possessions and all the property which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, Jacob entered into Egypt, and all his offspring with him.

His sons and the sons of his sons with him, daughters and the daughters of his sons, and all his offspring he brought into Egypt.

And these are the names of the sons of Israel, of those who entered into Egypt with Jacob, and his sons: Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben

And the sons of Reuben: Enoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.

And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul, son of the Canaanite woman

And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari

And the sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah. And Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Jemuel.

And the sons of Issachar: Tola and Puvah and Jashub and Zimran

And the sons of Zebulun: Sered and Allon and Aholiel.

These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Mesopotamia of Syria, and Dinah his daughter; all the souls, sons and daughters, were thirty-three.

These are the sons of Rachel, whom she bore to Jacob: all the souls were eighteen.

And the sons of Dan: Hushim

And the sons of Naphtali: Ahziel and Guni and Jezer and Shillem

These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, who bore these to Jacob; all the souls were seven.

And all the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, those that came out of his loins, apart from the wives of the sons of Jacob, all the souls were sixty-six.

And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in the land of Egypt, were nine souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob who entered into Egypt were seventy-five.

And Judah he sent before him to Joseph to meet him at Heroon city in the land of Ramesse.

And Joseph, having yoked his chariots, went up to meet Israel his father at Heroon city, and appearing to him, he fell upon his neck and wept with a much greater weeping.

And Israel said to Joseph, I shall die from now on, since I have seen your face, for yet you are alive.

And Joseph said to his brothers, Having gone up, I will report to Pharaoh and I will say to him, My brothers and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

And the men are shepherds, for they were cattle-breeders, and the cattle and the oxen and all their things they have led.

If then Pharaoh calls you and says to you, What is your occupation?

You shall say, We your servants are cattle-keepers from boyhood until now, both we and our fathers, so that you may dwell in the land of Goshen in Arabia; for every shepherd of sheep is an abomination to Egyptians.
