And Jacob called his sons and said, Gather together, that I may tell you what will happen to you at the last of the days.

Gather yourselves together and hear, sons of Jacob; hear, Israel, your father.

Reuben, my firstborn, you are my strength and the beginning of my children, hard to bear and hard, self-willed

You were insolent as water; you shall not boil over, for you went up onto the bed of your father; then you defiled the couch on which you went up.
