Lord, I have heard your report and I was afraid; I considered your works and I was astonished. In the midst of two living creatures you will be known; in the drawing near of the years you will be made known; in the being present of the time you will be revealed; in the stirring up of my soul, in wrath you will remember mercy.
God will come from Thaeman, and the Holy One from the mountain of shady, thick forest. Pause. His excellence has covered the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.
And his brightness will be as light; horns are in his hands, and there he set a mighty love of his strength.
Before him a word shall go, and his feet shall go forth in sandals.
He stood and the earth was shaken; he looked, and the nations melted; the mountains were shattered by violence; the eternal hills melted.
I saw the tents of the Ethiopians in place of his everlasting journeys; they shall be terrified, and the tents of the land of Midian.
Was it not against rivers, O Lord, that you were angered, or against rivers was your wrath, or against the sea your rushing, because you will mount upon your horses and your riding is salvation?
You stretch out, you shall stretch out your bow over the scepters, says the Lord. Selah. Rivers of the earth shall be broken open.
The peoples shall see you and shall be in labor; scattering waters, the deep gave its voice, the height of its apparition.
The sun was lifted up, and the moon stood in its order; at the light your darts will go, at the brightness of the lightning of your weapons.
In indignation you will trample the earth, and in wrath you will crush nations.
You went out for the salvation of your people, to save your anointed ones; you put death on the heads of the lawless, you raised bonds up to the neck. Selah
You pierced in ecstasy the heads of the mighty; they will be shaken in it. They will open their bridles, as a poor man eats secretly.
And you made your horses mount into the sea, disturbing much water.
I waited and my belly was startled from the sound of the prayer of my lips, and trembling entered into my bones, and beneath me my condition was troubled; I will rest in the day of affliction, to go up against the people of my sojourning.
For the fig tree will not bear fruit, and there will be no produce in the vines; the work of the olive tree will fail, and the fields will not yield food; the sheep have ceased from pasture, and there are no cattle in the stalls.
But I will exult in the Lord; I will rejoice in God my savior.
The Lord God is my strength, and he will set my feet in completion; upon the heights he will make me mount, to prevail in his song.
