Samaria shall be destroyed, because it resisted against its God; they shall fall by the sword, and their infants shall be dashed to the ground, and their women with child shall be torn open.

Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, because you have become weak in your injustices.

Take with you words and turn back to the Lord your God; say to him, so that you may not receive injustice and may receive good things, and we will repay the fruit of our lips

Asshur shall not save us; we shall not mount on a horse, and we shall no longer say, Our gods, to the works of our hands. He who is in you will have mercy on the orphan.

I will heal their dwellings; I will love them openly, because my anger has turned away from them.

I will be like dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily, and he will strike his roots like Lebanon.

His branches shall go, and he shall be like a fruitful olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.

They shall return and sit down; under his shelter they shall live and they shall be satisfied with grain, and his memory shall blossom like a vine, like the wine of Lebanon.

To Ephraim, what more to him also with idols? I humbled him, and I will strengthen him. I am like a thickening juniper; from me your fruit is found.

Who is wise and will understand these things, or prudent and will know them? For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the righteous will walk in them; but the ungodly will weaken in them.
