The Koine Bible

In that day this song will be sung on the land of Judah, saying: Behold, a strong city; and our salvation he will set as wall and outer wall.

Open the gates, let the people who keep righteousness and who keep truth enter.

One who takes hold of truth and guards peace, because on you

They have hoped, O Lord, forever, the God, the great one, the everlasting one.

You have humbled, you brought down those who dwell in high places; strong cities you will cast down, and you will bring them down to the ground, even to the dust

And the feet of the meek and humble shall trample them.

The way of the godly became straight, and the way of the godly is prepared

For the way of the Lord is judgment; we have hoped in your name and in your remembrance

With my soul I desire you by night; my spirit dawns early toward you, O God, because your commandments are light upon the earth; learn righteousness, you who dwell upon the earth

For the ungodly has ceased; he shall by no means learn righteousness; in the land he shall by no means do truth. Let the ungodly be taken away, lest he see the glory of the Lord.

Lord, your arm is high, but they did not know it; but when they know, they will be put to shame. Zeal will take an untaught people, and now fire will devour the adversaries.

Lord our God, give us peace, for you have given back all things to us

Lord our God, master us; Lord, besides you we know no other; your name we name.

But the dead shall not see life, nor shall physicians raise them up; therefore you brought upon them and destroyed them, and you lifted up every male of them

Add evils to them, O Lord, add evils to all the glorious ones of the earth

And as one in labor draws near to give birth and cries out in her labor pains, so have we become to your beloved because of your fear, Lord

We were in womb and we were in pain and we gave birth; we made a spirit of your salvation upon the earth, but those dwelling upon the earth will fall.

The dead shall rise, and those in the tombs shall be raised, and those in the earth shall rejoice; for the dew from you is healing to them, but the land of the ungodly shall fall.

Go, my people, enter into your chambers, shut your door, hide for a little, until the anger of the Lord shall pass by.

For behold, the Lord brings wrath from the holy place upon those who dwell on the earth, and the earth will uncover its blood, and it will no longer cover its slain.
