And now I will comfort you, Zion, and I have comforted all her desolations, and I will make her desolations like the paradise of the Lord, joy and gladness; in her they will find thanksgiving and the voice of praise.
My righteousness draws near quickly, and my salvation will go out as light, and the nations will hope in my arm; the islands will wait for me, and they will hope in my arm
Lift up your eyes to the heaven and look into the earth below, for the heaven has been made firm like smoke, and the earth will grow old like a garment, and those who dwell on the earth will die like these; but my salvation will be forever, and my righteousness will by no means fail.
For as a garment will be eaten by time, and as wool will be eaten by a moth, so my righteousness will be forever, and my salvation for generations of generations
And the ransomed by the Lord shall return and shall come to Zion with gladness and with everlasting rejoicing, for joy and praise and gladness shall seize them; pain and sorrow and groaning have fled away.
And you forgot God who made you, who made the heaven and founded the earth, and you were always fearing all the days the face of the wrath of the one afflicting you; for in what manner he planned to take you away, and now where is the wrath of the one afflicting you?
I will put my words into your mouth, and under the shadow of my hand I will shelter you, in which I set the heaven and founded the earth, and Zion will say, You are my people.
Awake, awake, stand up, Jerusalem, you who have drunk the cup of wrath from the hand of the Lord; for you drank the cup of falling, the chalice of wrath, and you emptied it out.
and there was none who was comforting you, from all your children whom you bore, and there was none who was taking hold of your hand, nor from all your sons whom you raised up
Your sons, those in perplexity, those sleeping at the head of every street, like a half-boiled beet, full of the anger of the Lord, faint because of the Lord your God
Thus says the Lord God, who judges his people: behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of ruin, the bowl of wrath; and you shall not continue to drink it any more.
And I will put it into the hands of those who wronged you and those who humbled you, who said to your soul, Bow down, that we may pass over; and you laid your back level with the ground, outside for those who were passing by.
