Upon the mountains take up lamentation, and upon the paths of the wilderness a dirge, because they have failed, so that there are no men; they did not hear a voice of existence, from the birds of the sky and even to the cattle they were astonished, they went away.

Who is the prudent man, and let him understand this; and to whom is a word of the mouth of the Lord, let him declare it to you: because of what has the land perished, has it been kindled like a wilderness, so that no one passes through it?

but let the one who boasts boast in this, to understand and to know that I am the Lord, doing mercy and judgment and righteousness on the earth; because in these things is my will, says the Lord

upon Egypt and upon Judea and upon Edom and upon the sons of Ammon and upon the sons of Moab and upon everyone who cuts the hair at the front of his face, those who dwell in the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised in flesh, and all the house of Israel, uncircumcised in their hearts
