And Pashhur son of Immer the priest heard, and he was appointed ruler of the house of the Lord, Jeremiah prophesying these words.

And he struck him and put him into the dungeon that was in the gate of the house of Benjamin, the upper one, which was in the house of the Lord

And Paschor brought Jeremiah out of the dungeon, and Jeremiah said to him, Paschor, did not the Lord call your name, rather, Sojourner?

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I am giving you into captivity, with all your friends, and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies; and your eyes shall see it. And I will give both you and all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, and they shall carry them away captive and shall cut them down with swords.

And I will give all the strength of this city and all its labors and all the treasures of the king of Judah into the hands of his enemies, and they shall bring them to Babylon

And you and all who dwell in your house shall go into captivity, and in Babylon you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you and all your friends to whom you prophesied lies.

You deceived me, O Lord, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I became a laughter all day long; I have been continually derided.

For with a bitter word I will laugh at lawlessness, and I will call upon misery, because the word of the Lord has become for me a reproach and a mockery all my day.

And I said, I shall not at all mention the name of the Lord, and I shall no more speak in his name; and it became as a burning fire, burning in my bones, and I am weary on every side, and I am not able to bear it.

For I heard the reproach of many gathering roundabout: Gather together, and let us gather together against him, all men his friends; watch for his purpose; if he may be deceived, then we shall prevail against him and we shall take our vengeance on him.

And the Lord was with me as a mighty warrior; therefore they persecuted, and they were not able to understand; they were greatly shamed, because they did not understand their dishonor, which will not be forgotten forever.

Lord, testing righteous things, understanding kidneys and hearts, may I see your vengeance upon them, because to you I have revealed my defenses.

Sing to the Lord, praise him, because he has delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

Cursed be the day in which I was born, in it the day in which my mother bore me; let it not be blessed.

Cursed is the man who brought good news to my father, saying, A male has been born to you, making him glad

Let that man be like the cities that the Lord overthrew in wrath and did not repent; let him hear a cry in the morning and a shouting at noon.

Because he did not kill me in the womb, and my mother became my grave, and the womb of eternal conception to me.

Why then did I come out of the womb, to see troubles and pains, and my days were spent in shame?
