λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ὕδατα ἀναβαίνει ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἔσται εἰς χειμάρρουν κατακλύζοντα καὶ κατακλύσει γῆν καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆς πόλιν καὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ κεκράξονται οἱ ἄνθρωποι καὶ ἀλαλάξουσιν ἅπαντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὴν γῆν
Thus says the Lord: behold, waters are rising from the north, and it will be into a flooding torrent, and it will flood the land and its fullness, the city and those who dwell in it, and the men will cry out and all those who dwell on the land will wail.
φωνῆς ὁρμῆς αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁπλῶν τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ σεισμοῦ τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ ἤχου τροχῶν αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐπέστρεψαν πατέρες ἐφ᾿ υἱοὺς αὐτῶν ἀπὸ ἐκλύσεως χειρῶν αὐτῶν
From the sound of his charge, from the clatter of his feet, and from the shaking of his chariots, the noise of his wheels, the fathers did not turn back for their sons, because of the feebleness of their hands.
τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἐρχομένῃ τοῦ ἀπολέσαι πάντας τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἀφανιῶ τὴν Τύρον καὶ τὴν Σιδῶνα καὶ πάντας τοὺς καταλοίπους τῆς βοηθείας αὐτῶν ὅτι ἐξολεθρεύσει κύριος τοὺς καταλοίπους τῶν νήσων
in the coming day to destroy all the foreigners, and I will wipe out Tyre and Sidon and all the rest of their help, because the Lord will utterly destroy the remnant of the islands
Baldness has come upon Gaza; Ashkelon has been cast down, and the remnant of the Anakim—until when will you cut off?
The sword of the Lord, until when will you not be quiet? Return into your sheath, rest, and be lifted up.
ἡσυχάσει καὶ κύριος ἐνετείλατο αὐτῇ ἐπὶ τὴν Ἀσκαλῶνα καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς παραθαλασσίους ἐπὶ τὰς καταλοίπους ἐπεγερθῆναι
How will it be quiet, and the Lord has commanded it against Ashkelon and against the seacoast, against the remnant, to be roused up
