And it happened in the seventh month that Ishmael son of Nethaniah son of Elasa, of the royal seed, came, and ten men with him, to Gedaliah at Mizpah, and they ate bread there together
And men came from Shechem and from Salem and from Samaria, eighty men, having shaved off their beards and torn their garments and cutting themselves, and manna and frankincense in their hands, to bring into the house of the Lord
And ten men were found there, and they said to Ishmael, Do not kill us, for we have treasures in the field, wheat and barley, honey and oil; and he passed by and did not kill them in the midst of their brothers.
