Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and the name of his mother was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah, from Libnah.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, and all his force, against Jerusalem, and they surrounded it and built fortifications around it with hewn stones all around.

And the city came into distress until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah

In the ninth month, and the famine grew strong in the city, and there were no loaves for the people of the land.

And the city was broken through, and all the men, the warriors, went out by night by the way of the gate between the wall and the outer wall that was by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city, and they went the way toward Arabah.

And the force of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and they overtook him in the plain of Jericho, and all his servants were scattered from him.

And they seized the king and brought him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and he spoke with him in judgment

And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he slaughtered all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

and he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in fetters and the king of Babylon brought him to Babylon and put him in the house of the miller until the day on which he died

And in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

And he burned the house of the Lord and the house of the king and all the houses of the city, and every great house he burned with fire.

And all the wall of Jerusalem around, the force of the Chaldeans that was with the chief cook tore down it

And the rest of the people the chief cook left behind as vine-dressers and as farmers

And the bronze pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the bronze sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and took their bronze and carried it away to Babylon.

and the crown, and the bowls, and the flesh-hooks, and all the bronze vessels with which they ministered with them

and the basins and the firepans and the vessels for pouring and the lampstands and the incense pans and the cups, whatever was gold, gold, and whatever was silver, silver, the chief cook took

and the pillars were two and the sea one and the twelve bronze oxen underneath the sea, which King Solomon made for the house of the Lord; there was no weighing of their bronze

And the pillars were thirty-five cubits; the height of the one pillar; and a cord of twelve cubits encircled it, and its thickness was four fingers round about.

And a bronze capital on them, and five cubits its length; the projection of the one capital and a network and pomegranates on the capital all around, all of them bronze; and according to these for the second pillar, eight pomegranates to the cubit, for the twelve cubits.

And there were the pomegranates ninety-six, the one part, and all the pomegranates on the network round about were a hundred.

And the chief cook took the first priest and the second priest and the three who were keeping watch over the way.

and one eunuch, who was overseer of the men of the warriors, and seven notable men, those in the presence of the king, those found in the city, and the secretary of the forces, the secretary to the people of the land, and sixty men from the people of the land, those found in the midst of the city

And Nebuzaradan the chief guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon, to Deblatha.

And the king of Babylon struck them in Riblah in the land of Hamath.

And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiakim king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fourth of the month, that Ulaimara­dach king of Babylon, in the year in which he reigned, took Jehoiakim king of Judah and brought him out from the house where he was being kept.

And he spoke to him kindly and set his throne above the thrones of the kings who were with him in Babylon

And he changed the prison clothing of him, and he ate bread continually before his face all the days that he lived.

And his allowance was given to him continually by the king of Babylon, from day to day, until the day of which he died.
