3
And the Lord said to the devil, Have you then paid attention to my servant Job, that there is not among those on the earth a man like him, harmless, true, blameless, reverent of God, abstaining from every evil, and still he holds fast to innocence? But you said to destroy his possessions for nothing.
9
And much time having passed, his wife said to him, How long will you endure, saying?
10
But he, looking at her, said, You have spoken like one of the foolish women. If we have received the good things from the hand of the Lord, shall we not endure the bad? In all these things that had happened to him, Job did not sin with his lips before God.
11
And when the three friends of him heard all the evils that had come upon him, each one came from his own country to him: Eliphaz the king of the Themanites, Baldad the tyrant of the Saucheans, Sophar the king of the Minaeans. And they came to him with one accord, to comfort him and to visit him.
