The Koine Bible

Then Job answered and says

Then you are men indeed, and with you wisdom will die?

But I also have a heart like yours

For a righteous and blameless man has become a laughingstock

For it was prepared to fall at an appointed time, and his houses to be plundered by lawless men by others

Nevertheless, let no one who is wicked trust that he will be innocent; as many as provoke the Lord, will there not also be an examination of them?

But now ask the four-footed animals, if they shall say to you, and the birds of heaven, if they shall report to you.

But speak to the earth, if it should tell you, and the fish of the sea will declare to you

Who does not know among all these things that the hand of the Lord has done these things?

In his hand is the life of all living things and the spirit of every human being.

For the ear tests words, and the palate tastes food.

In much time is wisdom, but in much life is knowledge.

With him are wisdom and might; to him belong counsel and understanding.

If anyone tears down, who will build? If he shuts up against men, who will open?

If he restrains the water, he will dry up the earth; but if he lets it go, he has destroyed it, overturning it.

With him is strength and might; to him belong knowledge and understanding.

He leads counselors away captive, and he has made the judges of the land astounded.

He makes kings sit on thrones, and he girded their loins with a belt.

sending priests away as captives, and he overturned the rulers of the land

He who changes the lips of the faithful, but he knows the understanding of the elders.

pouring out contempt on rulers, but healing the lowly

He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and he has brought the shadow of death into light

Leading nations astray and destroying them, spreading out nations and guiding them

He changing the hearts of the rulers of the land, and he led them astray by a way which they did not know.

Let them grope in darkness and not for light; and let them go astray like one who is drunk.
