The Koine Bible

Then Job answered and says:

And indeed I know that my reproof is from my hand, and his hand has become heavy upon my groaning

Oh that I might know where I might find him and might come to the end!

I would present my case before him, and I would fill my mouth with arguments.

And I would know the words that he will say to me, and I would perceive what he will report to me

And if he will come upon me with great strength, then he will not use threat against me.

For there truth and reproof are from him, and he would bring my judgment to an end.

For to the first things I will go, and I am no longer; but the things at the last, what do I know?

When he worked on the left, and I did not perceive it; he turns to the right, and I will not see him.

For he already knows my way; and he has tested me like gold.

I will go out in his commandments, for I have guarded his ways, and I shall not at all turn aside.

From his commandments I have not departed, and in my bosom I have hidden his words.

But if he himself has judged thus, who is the one speaking against him? For what he himself willed, he also did.

Therefore I hastened at him; but being admonished, I considered him.

But the Lord has softened my heart, and the Almighty has hastened me.

For I did not know that darkness would come upon me, and thick gloom covered my face.
