δὲ Ελιους ὁ τοῦ Βαραχιηλ ὁ Βουζίτης ἐκ τῆς συγγενείας Ραμ τῆς Αυσίτιδος χώρας ὠργίσθη δὲ τῷ Ιωβ σφόδρα διότι ἀπέφηνεν ἑαυτὸν δίκαιον ἐναντίον κυρίου
Then Elihu son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the kin of Ram of the land of Us, was angry, and he was angry with Job exceedingly, because he had declared himself righteous before the Lord
κατὰ τῶν τριῶν δὲ φίλων ὠργίσθη σφόδρα διότι οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν ἀποκριθῆναι ἀντίθετα Ιωβ καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτὸν εἶναι ἀσεβῆ
And against the three friends also he was very angry, because they were not able to answer Job in opposition, and they had set him to be ungodly.
But Elihu had waited to give Job an answer, because they were older than he in days
And Elious saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
δὲ Ελιους ὁ τοῦ Βαραχιηλ ὁ Βουζίτης εἶπεν νεώτερος μέν εἰμι τῷ χρόνῳ ὑμεῖς δέ ἐστε πρεσβύτεροι διὸ ἡσύχασα φοβηθεὶς τοῦ ὑμῖν ἀναγγεῖλαι τὴν ἐμαυτοῦ ἐπιστήμην
Then Elihu the son of Barachiel the Buzite answered and said, I am younger in time, and you are older; therefore I kept silence, fearing to declare my knowledge to you.
And I said, Let the time speak; and in many years they know wisdom.
But there is a spirit in mortals, and the breath of the Almighty is the one teaching.
It is not the long-lived who are wise, nor do the aged understand judgment.
Therefore I said, Listen to me, and I will declare to you what I know.
Listen to my words, for I will speak while you are listening, until you have examined words.
And until you I gave attention, and behold, there was not among you anyone answering Job, refuting his words.
so that you may not say, We have found wisdom, ascribing it to the Lord
But to a man you have allowed to speak such words
They were dismayed, they answered no longer; words failed them.
I have waited, for they did not speak, because they stood, they did not answer.
Then Elihu answered and says:
I will speak again, for I am full of words; for the spirit of my belly presses me.
And my belly is like a wineskin of new wine boiling, bound up, or like a smith’s bellows that has burst.
I will speak, that I may be relieved, having opened my lips.
For I will surely not be ashamed before man, but indeed I will not be dismayed before mortal man.
For I do not know how to show partiality, or else even the moths will eat me up.
