And when Jabin king of Hazor heard, he sent to Jobab king of Marron and to the king of Shimon and to the king of Aziph

and to the kings who were by great Sidon, into the hill country, and into Arabah opposite Kinneroth, and into the plain, and into Napheddor

and to the seacoast Canaanites from the east, and to the seacoast Amorites and Hivites and Jebusites and Perizzites in the mountain and the Hittites under Hermon to the land of Massepha

And they went out, they and their kings with them, like the sand of the sea in multitude, and horses and chariots very many.

And all these kings came together and came to the same place and encamped at the water of Marron to make war against Israel

And the Lord said to Joshua, Do not be afraid before their face, for tomorrow at this hour I will hand them over, routed, before Israel; their horses you shall hamstring, and their chariots you shall burn with fire.

And Joshua and all the fighting people came against them by the water of Marron suddenly, and they fell upon them in the hill country

and the Lord gave them into the hand of Israel, and cutting them down they pursued them as far as Great Sidon and as far as Maseron and as far as the plains of Massoch toward the east, and they struck them down until there was not left of them any survivor saved alive

And Joshua did to them in the manner the Lord commanded him; their horses he hamstrung, and their chariots he burned with fire.

And Joshua turned back at that time and captured Hazor and its king; now Hazor formerly was leading all these kingdoms.

And they killed every breathing thing in it with the sword and utterly destroyed all, and there was not left in it any breathing thing, and they burned Hazor with fire

And all the cities of the kings and their kings Joshua took, and he struck them with the edge of the sword and utterly destroyed them, in the manner Moses, the servant of the Lord, commanded.

But all the cities that had been fortified Israel did not burn, except Hazor alone Joshua burned with fire

And all its spoil the sons of Israel plundered for themselves; but they utterly destroyed them all with the edge of the sword, until he destroyed them; they left none of them breathing, not even one.

As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so Moses also commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he did not transgress anything from all that Moses commanded him.

And Joshua took all the hill country and all the Negeb and all the land of Gosom and the plain and the west country and the mountain of Israel and the lowlands

the lands toward the mountain from Mount Achel and what goes up to Seir and as far as Baalgad and the plains of Lebanon under Mount Hermon, and all their kings he took and destroyed them and put them to death

And Joshua made war with these kings for a greater number of days.

And there was not a city which Israel did not take; they took all in war.

For it was through the Lord to harden their heart to meet in war against Israel, so that they might be utterly destroyed, so that mercy might not be given to them, but that they might be utterly destroyed, just as the Lord said to Moses

And Joshua came at that time and destroyed the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron and from Debir and from Anaboth and from all the race of Israel and from all the mountain of Judah, with their cities, and Joshua destroyed them.

None of the Anakim was left from the sons of Israel, except only in Gaza and in Gath and in Ashdod there was left.

And Joshua took all the land, according as the Lord commanded Moses, and Joshua gave it to them as an inheritance to Israel in a division according to their tribes, and the land rested from being warred against.
