ἀμαυρωθήσεται χρυσίον ἀλλοιωθήσεται τὸ ἀργύριον τὸ ἀγαθόν ἐξεχύθησαν λίθοι ἅγιοι ἐπ᾿ ἀρχῆς πασῶν ἐξόδων
How will gold be dimmed, the good silver be altered! Sacred stones have been poured out at the head of all the exits.

The precious sons of Zion, who were exalted in gold, how have they been counted as earthen vessels, the work of a potter’s hands.
γε δράκοντες ἐξέδυσαν μαστούς ἐθήλασαν σκύμνοι αὐτῶν θυγατέρες λαοῦ μου εἰς ἀνίατον ὡς στρουθίον ἐν ἐρήμῳ
Even jackals have offered the breast; they have suckled their young ones; the daughters of my people have become cruel, like an ostrich in the wilderness.
The tongue of the nursling stuck to his throat in thirst; little children asked for bread, and there was none to break for them.
Those who were eating delicacies were destroyed in the streets; those who were nursed on scarlet embraced dung.
ἐμεγαλύνθη ἀνομία θυγατρὸς λαοῦ μου ὑπὲρ ἀνομίας Σοδομων τῆς κατεστραμμένης ὥσπερ σπουδῇ καὶ οὐκ ἐπόνεσαν ἐν αὐτῇ χεῖρας
And the lawlessness of the daughter of my people was made greater than the lawlessness of Sodom, that was overthrown suddenly, and they did not labor with hands in it.
Her Nazirites were purer than snow, they shone brighter than milk, they were more ruddy than sapphire stones, their form.
ὑπὲρ ἀσβόλην τὸ εἶδος αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπεγνώσθησαν ἐν ταῖς ἐξόδοις ἐπάγη δέρμα αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰ ὀστέα αὐτῶν ἐξηράνθησαν ἐγενήθησαν ὥσπερ ξύλον
Their appearance has become darker than soot; they were not recognized in the streets; their skin has clung to their bones; they have dried up; they have become like wood.
Better were the slain of the sword than the slain of famine; they went away pierced through for lack of the produce of the fields.
γυναικῶν οἰκτιρμόνων ἥψησαν τὰ παιδία αὐτῶν ἐγενήθησαν εἰς βρῶσιν αὐταῖς ἐν τῷ συντρίμματι τῆς θυγατρὸς λαοῦ μου
The hands of compassionate women boiled their children; they became food for them in the crushing of the daughter of my people
The Lord has completed his anger; he has poured out the anger of his wrath, and he has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations.
ἐπίστευσαν βασιλεῖς γῆς πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὴν οἰκουμένην ὅτι εἰσελεύσεται ἐχθρὸς καὶ ἐκθλίβων διὰ τῶν πυλῶν Ιερουσαλημ
The kings of the earth did not believe, all the inhabitants of the world, that an enemy and oppressor would enter through the gates of Jerusalem.
Because of the sins of her prophets, the iniquities of her priests, who were shedding righteous blood in her midst
ἐγρήγοροι αὐτῆς ἐν ταῖς ἐξόδοις ἐμολύνθησαν ἐν αἵματι ἐν τῷ μὴ δύνασθαι αὐτοὺς ἥψαντο ἐνδυμάτων αὐτῶν
They wandered as blind men in the streets; they were polluted with blood, in their not being able to touch their garments.
ἀκαθάρτων καλέσατε αὐτούς ἀπόστητε ἀπόστητε μὴ ἅπτεσθε ὅτι ἀνήφθησαν καί γε ἐσαλεύθησαν εἴπατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὐ μὴ προσθῶσιν τοῦ παροικεῖν
Depart, unclean ones; call them: Depart, depart; do not touch, because they have become defiled and indeed they were shaken. Say among the nations, They shall no longer continue to sojourn.
The face of the Lord was their portion; he will not continue to look upon them favorably. They did not respect the face of priests; they did not spare elders.
ὄντων ἡμῶν ἐξέλιπον οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν εἰς τὴν βοήθειαν ἡμῶν μάταια ἀποσκοπευόντων ἡμῶν ἀπεσκοπεύσαμεν εἰς ἔθνος οὐ σῷζον
While we were still being, our eyes failed for our help, while we were looking out in vain, we looked out toward a nation not saving
μικροὺς ἡμῶν τοῦ μὴ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις ἡμῶν ἤγγικεν ὁ καιρὸς ἡμῶν ἐπληρώθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι ἡμῶν πάρεστιν ὁ καιρὸς ἡμῶν
They hunted our little ones so that we could not go in our streets; our time drew near, our days were fulfilled; our time is present.
Our pursuers became swifter than the eagles of heaven; on the mountains they were set on fire, in the wilderness they lay in ambush for us.
προσώπου ἡμῶν χριστὸς κυρίου συνελήμφθη ἐν ταῖς διαφθοραῖς αὐτῶν οὗ εἴπαμεν ἐν τῇ σκιᾷ αὐτοῦ ζησόμεθα ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν
The breath of our face, the anointed of the Lord, was taken in their destructions, of whom we said, In his shadow we shall live among the nations
καὶ εὐφραίνου θύγατερ Ιδουμαίας ἡ κατοικοῦσα ἐπὶ γῆς καί γε ἐπὶ σὲ διελεύσεται τὸ ποτήριον κυρίου καὶ μεθυσθήσῃ καὶ ἀποχεεῖς
Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Idumea, you who dwell on the land; even over you the cup of the Lord will pass, and you will be drunk and will pour out.
ἡ ἀνομία σου θύγατερ Σιων οὐ προσθήσει ἔτι ἀποικίσαι σε ἐπεσκέψατο ἀνομίας σου θύγατερ Εδωμ ἀπεκάλυψεν ἐπὶ τὰ ἀσεβήματά σου
Your iniquity has come to an end, daughter of Zion; he will no longer continue to carry you away captive. He has visited your iniquity, daughter of Edom; he has uncovered your ungodlinesss.
