Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: whoever shall vow a vow so as to set a valuation on his life to the Lord
And the valuation of the male shall be from twenty years old and up to sixty years old; his valuation shall be fifty didrachmas of silver by the holy weight.
And for the female the valuation shall be thirty didrachmas.
And if from five years old even to twenty years old, then the valuation of the male shall be twenty didrachmas, and of the female ten didrachmas.
And from one month old up to five years old the valuation of the male shall be five didrachmas of silver, and of the female three didrachmas
And if from sixty years and upward, if indeed he is male, the valuation shall be fifteen double drachmas of silver; but if female, ten double drachmas.
And if he be poor in the valuation, he shall stand before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the power of the hand of him who vowed, the priest shall value him.
And if from the animals that are brought as an offering from them to the Lord, whoever gives from these to the Lord, it shall be holy
He shall not exchange it, good for bad, nor bad for good; and if exchanging he shall exchange it, beast for beast, it shall be his and the exchange shall be holy.
But if any unclean animal, from those from which a gift is not brought to the Lord, he shall set the animal before the priest
And the priest shall value it between good and between bad, and as the priest shall value it, so it shall stand.
But if, ransoming, he shall ransom it, he shall add one-fifth to its value
And a man who shall consecrate his house, holy to the Lord, and the priest shall value it, between good and between bad, as the priest shall value it, so it shall stand.
But if the one who has consecrated it redeems his house, he shall add to it the fifth part of the silver of the valuation, and it shall be his
And if a man consecrates to the Lord from the field of his possession, then the valuation shall be according to its seed: a homer of barley, fifty silver didrachmas.
But if he consecrates his field from the year of release, according to its valuation it shall stand
But if at the last year after the release he consecrates his field, the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years remaining until the year of release, and it shall be subtracted from his valuation.
And if the one who consecrated the field redeems it, he shall add the fifth part of the silver to its valuation, and it shall be his.
But if he does not redeem the field, and the field is sold to another man, he shall no longer redeem it.
but the field, when it goes out in the release, shall be holy to the Lord, like the land that has been set apart; it shall be the priest’s possession
And if he shall consecrate to the Lord from a field which he has acquired, which is not from the field of his possession, to the Lord
The priest shall reckon to him the amount of the valuation from the year of the release, and he shall give the valuation on that day, holy to the Lord.
And in the year of release the field shall be returned to the man from whom he acquired it, from whom was the possession of the land.
And every valuation shall be by holy shekels; twenty obols shall be the two-drachma piece.
And every firstborn that may be among your cattle shall be for the Lord, and no one shall sanctify it, whether ox or sheep, it is for the Lord
But if it is of the unclean animals, and he shall exchange it according to its valuation, and he shall add the fifth part to it, and it shall be his; but if he does not redeem it, it shall be sold according to its valuation
But every devoted thing that a man may devote to the Lord from all that is his, from man to beast and from the field of his possession, shall not be sold nor redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord.
And every thing that may be devoted from among men shall not be ransomed, but it shall surely be put to death.
And every tithe of the land, from the seed of the land and from the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.
And if a man shall redeem his tithe with a redemption price, he shall add the fifth part to it, and it shall be to him
And every tithe of cattle and sheep, and everything that may come under the rod in the numbering, the tenth shall be holy to the Lord.
You shall not exchange good for bad; but if indeed you exchange it, then both it and its exchange shall be holy; it shall not be ransomed.
These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses to the sons of Israel on Mount Sinai
