And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses had taken, because he had taken an Ethiopian woman.

And they said, Has the Lord spoken only to Moses? Has he not also spoken to us? And the Lord heard.

And the man Moses was very meek, above all the men who were on the earth.

And the Lord said immediately to Moses and Miriam and Aaron, Come out, you three, to the tent of the testimony; and the three came out to the tent of the testimony.

And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the door of the tent of the testimony, and Aaron and Miriam were called, and both of them came out.

And he said to them, Hear my words: if there should be a prophet of you to the Lord, in a vision I shall be made known to him, and in a dream I shall speak to him.

Not so is my servant Moses; in all my house he is faithful.

mouth to mouth I will speak to him in form and not by riddles, and he saw the glory of the Lord; and why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

And the anger of the Lord’s wrath was upon them, and he departed.

And the cloud departed from the tent, and behold, Miriam was leprous, like snow; and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.

And Aaron said to Moses, I pray, lord, do not lay sin upon us, because we were ignorant, inasmuch as we sinned.

Let her not become as one equal to death, as an abortion coming out from a mother’s womb and eating half of her flesh.

And Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, God, I pray you, heal her.

And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had spat, spitting, on her face, would she not be put to shame seven days? Let her be separated seven days outside the camp, and after these things she shall enter.

And Miriam was shut outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not set out until Miriam was cleansed.

And after these things the people set out from Aseroth and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
