For length of life and years of life and peace they will add to you
Let not mercies and faithfulness forsake you; but bind them about your neck, and you will find favor
and provide good things before the Lord and men
Trust in God with all your heart, and do not be exalted by your own wisdom.
In all your ways know her, that she may make straight your paths, and your foot shall by no means stumble
Do not be wise in your own eyes; but fear God, and turn away from every evil.
Then there will be healing for your body and care for your bones
Honor the Lord from your righteous labors, and offer to him from the firstfruits of your fruits of righteousness.
so that your storehouses may be filled with fullness of grain, and your vats may burst forth with wine
My son, do not despise the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when being reproved by him.
For whom the Lord loves he disciplines, and he scourges every son whom he receives.
Blessed is the man who found wisdom, and mortal man who saw prudence.
For it is better to gain her than treasures of gold and silver
And she is more precious than costly stones; nothing evil will set itself against her; she is well known to all who draw near to her; and every precious thing is not worthy of her.
For length of life and years of life are in her right hand, but in her left are wealth and glory
Her ways are ways of beauty, and all her paths are in peace
She is a tree of life to all who hold fast to her, and to those who lean upon her as upon the Lord securely
The God founded the earth by wisdom, and prepared the heavens by prudence.
By his knowledge the deeps were broken open, and the clouds poured forth dew.
My son, do not let them slip away, but keep my counsel and purpose.
so that your soul may live, and favor may be about your neck
so that you may go on trusting in peace all your ways, and your foot shall by no means stumble
For if you sit, you will be without fear; and if you sleep, you will sleep sweetly.
And you shall not fear terror coming on, nor the assaults of the ungodly coming on.
For the Lord will be over all your ways and he will set your foot so that you may not be shaken
Do not withhold from doing good to one in need, whenever your hand may have power to help.
εἴπης ἐπανελθὼν ἐπάνηκε καὶ αὔριον δώσω δυνατοῦ σου ὄντος εὖ ποιεῖν οὐ γὰρ οἶδας τί τέξεται ἡ ἐπιοῦσα
Do not say, having come back, Come again, and tomorrow I will give, when you are able to do good; for you do not know what the coming day will bring forth.
Do not devise evils against your neighbor, who dwells nearby and has trusted in you
Do not contend with a man without cause, lest he should do you some evil.
Do not acquire the reproaches of evil men, nor envy their ways.
For every lawless man is unclean before the Lord, but among the righteous he does not sit in council.
The curse of God is in the houses of the ungodly, but the dwellings of the righteous are blessed.
The Lord opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
The wise will inherit glory, but the ungodly have exalted dishonor.
