From your presence let my judgment go forth; let my eyes see uprightness.
You have tested my heart; you visited by night; you burned me, and injustice was not found in me.
ἂν μὴ λαλήσῃ τὸ στόμα μου τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων διὰ τοὺς λόγους τῶν χειλέων σου ἐγὼ ἐφύλαξα ὁδοὺς σκληράς
so that my mouth might not speak the works of men; because of the words of your lips I have kept hard ways
Establish my steps in your paths, so that my steps may not be shaken.
I have cried out, because you heard me, O God; incline your ear to me and listen to my words.
Make marvelous your mercies, O one who saves those who hope in you from those standing against your right hand
Guard me as the pupil of the eye; in the shelter of your wings you will shelter me.
From before the face of the ungodly who afflicted me, my enemies have surrounded my soul.
Their fat they enclosed; their mouth has spoken pride.
Casting me out now they surrounded me; with their eyes they set to turn aside on the earth
They took me as if a lion ready for hunting, and as if a lion’s cub dwelling in secret places
κύριε πρόφθασον αὐτοὺς καὶ ὑποσκέλισον αὐτούς ῥῦσαι τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπὸ ἀσεβοῦς ῥομφαίαν σου ἀπὸ ἐχθρῶν τῆς χειρός σου
Arise, O Lord, anticipate them and trip them up; deliver my soul from the ungodly by your sword, from the enemies of your hand.
ἀπὸ ὀλίγων ἀπὸ γῆς διαμέρισον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ζωῇ αὐτῶν καὶ τῶν κεκρυμμένων σου ἐπλήσθη ἡ γαστὴρ αὐτῶν ἐχορτάσθησαν υἱῶν καὶ ἀφῆκαν τὰ κατάλοιπα τοῖς νηπίοις αὐτῶν
Lord, from the few, from the earth, divide them in their life, and their belly was filled with your hidden things; they were satisfied with sons, and they left the leftovers to their infants.
But I shall be seen in righteousness; I shall be satisfied by your face; I shall be satisfied in the seeing of your glory
