For the end; do not destroy. Of David, for inscription on a pillar, when Saul sent and watched his house to put him to death.
Deliver me from my enemies, O God, and redeem me from those who rise up against me
Deliver me from those who work lawlessness, and from men of blood save me
For behold, they hunted my soul; they set themselves against me, mighty ones, neither my lawlessness nor my sin, O Lord
Without lawlessness they ran and made straight; arise for my meeting and see.
And you, O Lord God of hosts, God of Israel, attend to visit all the nations; do not pity all those who work lawlessness. Selah
They will return at evening and will be hungry like a dog, and they will go around the city.
Behold, they will speak out in their mouth, and a sword is in their lips, for who heard?
But you, Lord, will laugh at them; you will bring all the nations to nothing.
My strength I will keep toward you, because God is my helper.
My God, his mercy will go before me; God will show me among my enemies.
Do not kill them, lest they forget my people; scatter them in your power, and bring them down, O my defender, Lord.
The sin of their mouth, the word of their lips; and let them be seized in their pride, and from curse and falsehood let destructions be proclaimed.
In wrath of completion, and they shall by no means exist, and they shall know that God rules over Jacob, the ends of the earth. Selah
They will return in the evening and will hunger like a dog, and they will go around the city.
They shall be scattered for eating; but if they are not satisfied, they also grumble.
But I will sing to your strength, and I will exult in the morning in your mercy, because you have become my helper and a refuge in the day of my affliction
My helper, I will sing to you, because God is my upholder; my God, my mercy.
