θεὸς ὁ θεός μου πρὸς σὲ ὀρθρίζω ἐδίψησέν σοι ἡ ψυχή μου ποσαπλῶς σοι ἡ σάρξ μου ἐν γῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ ἀβάτῳ καὶ ἀνύδρῳ
O God, my God, to you I rise early; my soul has thirsted for you, my flesh has longed for you in a desert and impassable and waterless land
So in the holy place I appeared to you to see your power and your glory
For your mercy is better than lives; my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you in my life; in your name I will lift up my hands
As with fatness and richness let my soul be filled, and with lips of exultation let my mouth praise.
If I remembered you on my bed, in the dawns I meditated toward you
For you have become my helper, and in the shelter of your wings I will rejoice.
My soul has clung after you; your right hand has held me up
But they have sought my soul in vain; they will enter into the lowest parts of the earth
They shall be given into the hands of the sword; they shall be portions of foxes.
δὲ βασιλεὺς εὐφρανθήσεται ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ ἐπαινεσθήσεται πᾶς ὁ ὀμνύων ἐν αὐτῷ ὅτι ἐνεφράγη στόμα λαλούντων ἄδικα
But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone swearing by him shall be praised, because the mouth of those speaking unjust things has been stopped.
