I will sing of your mercies forever, O Lord; from generation to generation I will proclaim your truth with my mouth

For you said, Mercy will be built forever; in the heavens your truth will be prepared.

I made a covenant with my chosen ones; I swore to David my servant.

I will establish your seed forever, and I will build your throne from generation to generation. Selah

The heavens will confess your wonders, O Lord, and your truth in the assembly of the holy ones.

For who in the clouds will be made equal to the Lord, and who will be likened to the Lord among the sons of God

God who is glorified in the council of holy ones, great and fearful above all those around him

Lord, God of powers, who is like you? You are mighty, Lord, and your truth is round about you.

You rule over the power of the sea; but you calm the surge of its waves.

You humbled the proud one as one wounded, and by the arm of your power you scattered your enemies

Yours are the heavens, and yours is the earth; the world and its fullness, you founded them.

The north and the seas, you created; Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.

Yours is the arm, let it be strengthened with might; let your hand be exalted, your right hand.

Righteousness and judgment are the preparation of your throne; mercy and truth will go before your face.

Blessed is the people who know the shout; O Lord, in the light of your face they shall walk

and in your name they will rejoice all the day, and in your righteousness they will be exalted

For you are the boast of their strength, and by your favor our horn will be exalted.

For the Lord is our help, and for the Holy One of Israel is our king.

Then you spoke in a vision to your holy ones and said, I have laid help upon one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from my people

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him.

For my hand will help him, and my arm will strengthen him.

No enemy shall benefit in him, and a son of lawlessness shall not continue to do him harm.

And I will crush his enemies from before his face, and those who hate him I will rout.

And my truth and my mercy shall be with him, and in my name his horn shall be lifted up.

And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

He will call upon me, You are my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.

And I will make him firstborn, high among the kings of the earth.

I will keep my mercy for him forever, and my covenant with him is faithful

And I will set his seed forever and ever and his throne as the days of heaven

If his sons abandon my law and do not walk in my judgments

if they profane my ordinances and do not keep my commandments

I will visit their iniquities with a rod and their sins with stripes

But my mercy I will not scatter from him, nor will I by any means deal unjustly in my truth.

Neither will I profane my covenant, and the things that go forth through my lips I will not utterly set aside.

Once I swore by my holiness: I will not lie to David.

His seed shall remain forever, and his throne as the sun before me

and as the moon established forever and the witness in heaven faithful. Selah

But you have rejected and despised; you have delayed your anointed one.

You have overturned the covenant of your servant; you have profaned his sanctuary to the ground.

You have torn down all his hedges; you have made his strongholds a cowardice.

All who pass by the way plundered him; he became a reproach to his neighbors.

You have exalted the right hand of his enemies; you have gladdened all his enemies.

You have turned back the help of his sword, and you did not help him in the battle.

You have brought down his throne to the ground, from purification you have cast it down.

You have made short the days of his time; you have poured out shame upon him. Selah

How long, Lord, will you turn away? Will your wrath burn to the end like fire?

Remember what my substance is; for surely you did not create all the sons of men in vain.

What man is there who shall live and shall not see death; shall he deliver his soul from the hand of Hades? Selah

Where are your former mercies, Lord, which you swore to David in your truth?

Remember, O Lord, the reproach of your servants, which I have borne in my bosom from many nations

Where your enemies have reproached, O Lord, where they have reproached the exchange of your anointed one
