Before the mountains were begotten and before the earth and the inhabited world were formed, and from age to age, you are.
Do not turn man back to humiliation, and you said, Turn back, sons of men
For a thousand years in your eyes are as the day of yesterday which has passed by, and as a watch in the night.
Their insignificances shall be years; in the morning it passes away like grass.
In the morning let it flower and pass away; in the evening let it fall away; let it be hardened and let it be dried up.
For we have failed away in your wrath, and in your anger we have been troubled.
You have set our lawless deeds before you, our age into the light of your face.
For all our days have failed, and in your wrath we have failed; our years we have meditated as a spider
The days of our years in them are seventy years, and if in mights, eighty years, and the more of them is toil and trouble, because meekness came upon us, and we shall be disciplined.
Who knows the power of your anger and, because of your fear, your wrath?
So teach us to number your right hand, and those bound in heart in wisdom.
Return, Lord—how long? and be comforted concerning your servants
We were filled in the morning with your mercy, and we rejoiced and were glad in all our days.
We have been glad in exchange for the days in which you humbled us, for the years in which we saw evils
And look upon your servants and your works, and guide their sons
And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us, and direct the works of our hands upon us.
