According to the judge of the people, so also are his servants; and according to the ruler of the city, all those who dwell in it.
A king without discipline will destroy his people, and a city will be inhabited through the understanding of rulers.
In the hand of the Lord is the authority of the earth, and the useful man he will raise up in due time over it.
In the hand of the Lord is a man’s prosperity, and upon the face of the scribe he will place his glory.
For every injustice do not bear malice against your neighbor, and do not do anything in deeds of insolence.
Hateful before the Lord and men is pride, and from both is wrongdoing blameworthy, injustice.
A kingdom is transferred from nation to nation because of injustices and insolence and wealth
Why does earth and ashes boast, since in life I cast out his entrails?
A long illness the physician mocks, and a king today and tomorrow will die.
For in dying a man will inherit creeping things and wild animals and worms.
The beginning of pride in a man is to depart from the Lord, and his heart departed from the one who made him.
For the beginning of pride is sin, and one who holds it will pour out abomination; therefore the Lord made the punishments marvelous and overthrew them utterly
The Lord has pulled down the thrones of rulers and has seated the meek in place of them.
The Lord uprooted the roots of nations, and planted the lowly in their place.
The Lord overthrew lands of nations and destroyed them down to the foundations of the earth.
He took away from among them and destroyed them and caused their memorial to cease from the earth
Pride was not created for men, nor wrath of anger for the offspring of women.
A precious seed, what seed of a man? A precious seed, what? Those who fear the Lord. An unhonored seed, what seed of a man? An unhonored seed, what? Those who transgress commandments.
Among brothers, their leader is honorable, and those who fear the Lord are in his eyes
The rich and the glorious and the poor: their boasting is the fear of the Lord.
It is not right to dishonor a prudent poor man, and it is not fitting to glorify a sinful man.
Greatest also as judge and ruler will be glorified, and there is none of them greater than the one who fears the Lord
To a wise servant free men will minister, and a knowledgeable man will not grumble.
Do not be wise to do your work, and do not boast in the time of your distress.
Better is one who works and abounds in all things than one who walks about glorified and lacking bread.
My child, glorify your soul in meekness and give it honor according to its worth.
Who will justify the one sinning against his own soul, and who will glorify the one dishonoring his life?
The poor man is glorified through his knowledge, and the rich man is glorified through his wealth.
The one glorified in poverty and in wealth, how much more; and the one without glory in wealth and in poverty, how much more
