12
I will speak concerning her, that she may be given to you as wife, because the inheritance of her falls to you and you alone are from her family, and the girl is beautiful and prudent.
13
And now listen to me, and I will speak to her father, and when we return from Ragaues we will make the marriage, because I know Raguel that he will not give her to another man, according to the law of Moses, or incur death, because the inheritance belongs to you to receive, or every man.
15
And now I alone am to my father, and I fear lest, when I go in, I die, as also the former ones; because a demon loves her, which injures no one except those who approach her. And now I fear lest I die and bring down the life of my father and of my mother in grief over me to their tomb, and there is no other son to them who will bury them.
16
And the angel said to him, Do you not remember the words which your father commanded you concerning taking a wife from your kindred? And now listen to me, brother, because she will be given to you as a wife, and have no concern about the demon, because this night she will be given to you as a wife.
17
And if you enter into the bridal chamber, you shall take incense ashes and place from the heart and from the liver of the fish, and you shall smoke them, and the demon will smell it and will flee, and it will not return forever and ever.
18
But when you draw near to her, rise both of you and cry out to the merciful God, and he will save you and will have mercy on you; do not fear, because she was prepared for you from eternity, and you will save her, and she will go with you, and I suppose that children will be to you from her
