And the young man went down to wash, and a fish leaped up from the river and wanted to swallow the young man
And the angel said to him, Take hold of the fish. And the child seized the fish and hauled it up onto the land.
And the angel said to him, Cut open the fish, and taking the heart and the liver and the gall, put them safely away.
And the boy did as the angel said to him, and they roasted the fish and ate it.
And they traveled both until they came near in Ecbatana.
And the boy said to the angel, Azariah: Brother, what are the liver and the heart and the gall of the fish?
And the heart and the liver said to him, If a demon or an evil spirit troubles anyone, these must be smoked before a man or a woman, and he will no longer be troubled.
And the gall is to anoint a man who has white spots in the eyes, and he will be healed.
And when they had come near to Rages
And the angel said to the young man, Brother, today we will lodge with Raguel, and he himself is your kinsman, and he has an only daughter, by name Sarah.
I will speak concerning her, that she may be given to you as wife, because the inheritance of her falls to you and you alone are from her family, and the girl is beautiful and prudent.
And now listen to me, and I will speak to her father, and when we return from Ragaues we will make the marriage, because I know Raguel that he will not give her to another man, according to the law of Moses, or incur death, because the inheritance belongs to you to receive, or every man.
Then the young man said to the angel Azaria, Brother, I have heard that the girl has been given to seven men, and that all have perished in the bridal chamber.
And now I alone am to my father, and I fear lest, when I go in, I die, as also the former ones; because a demon loves her, which injures no one except those who approach her. And now I fear lest I die and bring down the life of my father and of my mother in grief over me to their tomb, and there is no other son to them who will bury them.
And the angel said to him, Do you not remember the words which your father commanded you concerning taking a wife from your kindred? And now listen to me, brother, because she will be given to you as a wife, and have no concern about the demon, because this night she will be given to you as a wife.
And if you enter into the bridal chamber, you shall take incense ashes and place from the heart and from the liver of the fish, and you shall smoke them, and the demon will smell it and will flee, and it will not return forever and ever.
But when you draw near to her, rise both of you and cry out to the merciful God, and he will save you and will have mercy on you; do not fear, because she was prepared for you from eternity, and you will save her, and she will go with you, and I suppose that children will be to you from her
And when Tobias heard these things, he kissed her, and his soul was joined to her very strongly
