And he entered again into a synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.

And they were watching him to see if he would heal on the Sabbaths, so that they might accuse him.

And he said to the man who had the withered hand, Stand up in the middle.

And he said to them, Is it lawful on the Sabbaths to do good or to do harm, to save a life or to kill? But they were silent.

And looking around at them with anger, grieving over the hardness of their heart, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

And the Pharisees went out immediately and took counsel with the Herodians against him to destroy him.

And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a large crowd from Galilee followed, and also from Judea

And a very large crowd came to him from Jerusalem and from Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon, hearing what he was doing.

And he said to his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him.

For he healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him.

And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried out, saying, You are the Son of God.

And he strictly warned them not to make him known.

And he went up on the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they came to him.

And he appointed twelve so that they might be with him and so that he might send them out to proclaim.

and to have authority to cast out demons;

And he made the twelve, and he gave the name Peter to Simon,

and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James (and he gave them the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder),

and Andrew and Philip and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus and Simon the Cananaean

and Judas Iscariot, who also handed him over.

And he came into a house, and again a crowd gathered so that they were not even able to eat bread.

And when those who were around him heard it, they went out to seize him, for they said he is out of his mind.

And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying that he has Beelzebul and that by the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons.

And calling them to himself with parables, he said to them, How can Satan cast out Satan?

And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

And if Satan has risen against himself and is divided, he cannot stand but has an end.

But no one can enter the house of the strong man and plunder his possessions unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.

Truly I say to you, all sins and blasphemies will be forgiven to the sons of men, whatever they may blaspheme.

But whoever blasphemes against the Spirit Holy never has forgiveness into the age, but is guilty of eternal sin.

because they were saying, He has an unclean spirit.

And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him, calling him.

And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside seeking you.

And answering them, he says, Who is my mother or my brothers?

And looking around at those sitting around him in a circle, he said, Here are my mother and my brothers.

For whoever does the will of God, this one is my brother and sister and mother.
