Behold, the Lord is destroying the inhabited world and will make it desolate and will uncover its face and will scatter those who dwell in it

And the people shall be as the priest, and the servant as the master, and the maidservant as the mistress; the buyer shall be as the seller, and the lender as the one borrowing, and the one owing as the one to whom he owes.

The earth shall be utterly destroyed, and the earth shall be utterly plundered; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken these things.

The earth mourned, and the inhabited world was ruined; the lofty ones of the earth mourned.

And the earth became lawless because of those who dwell in it, because they transgressed the law and changed the ordinances, an everlasting covenant.

Therefore a curse will devour the earth, because those who dwell in it have sinned; therefore those who inhabit the earth will be poor, and men will be left few.

The wine shall mourn, the vine shall mourn; all who rejoice in soul shall groan.

The joy of tambourines has ceased, the insolence has ceased, and the wealth of the impious has ceased; the sound of the harp has ceased.

They were put to shame; they did not drink wine; bitter strong drink has become to those who drink it.

Every city has been made desolate, a house is shut so that none may enter.

Wail over the wine; all joy of the earth has ceased everywhere.

And cities shall be left desolate, and abandoned houses shall perish.

These all shall be in the land in the midst of the nations, as when one gleans an olive tree, so they shall be gleaned, and if the vintage stops,

These shall shout with a voice, but the ones left on the earth shall rejoice together; with the glory of the Lord the water of the sea shall be troubled.

Therefore the glory of the Lord will be in the islands of the sea; the name of the Lord will be glorious. O Lord, the God of Israel.

From the ends of the earth we heard wonders: hope for the devout; and they will say, Woe to those who nullify the law, the nullifiers!

Fear and pit and snare upon you, you who dwell on the earth

And it shall be that he who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the pit shall be caught by the snare, for the windows from heaven have been opened, and the foundations of the earth shall be shaken.

With turmoil the earth shall be utterly shaken, and with perplexity the earth shall be utterly perplexed

The earth has inclined and shall be shaken like a fruit watchtower, like one who is drunk and in a hangover, and it shall fall and shall by no means be able to rise up, for lawlessness has prevailed upon it.

And God will bring upon the world of heaven the hand, and upon the kings of the earth

And they shall gather and shut them up into a fortress and into a prison; through many generations their visitation shall be.

And the brick shall melt, and the wall shall fall, because the Lord will reign in Zion and in Jerusalem, and before the elders he shall be glorified.
