If Israel returns, says the Lord, to me he will return; if he removes his abominations from his mouth and from before my face he will be cautious.

and you shall swear, As the Lord lives, in truth and in judgment and in righteousness, and nations shall bless themselves in her, and in him they shall praise God in Jerusalem

For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: Break up for yourselves new ground, and do not sow among thorns.

Circumcise yourselves to your God, and circumcise the hardness of your heart, men of Judah and those who dwell in Jerusalem, lest my wrath go out like fire and be kindled, and there be no one to quench it, because of the evil of your practices from before my face.

Declare in Judah, and let it be heard in Jerusalem. Say, signal on the land with the trumpet, and cry out loudly. Say, gather yourselves and let us enter into the fortified cities.

Lift up a standard toward Zion; hasten, do not stand still, for I am bringing evils from the north, and great destruction.

A lion has gone up from his lair, destroying nations; he has gone out from his place to make the land into a desolation, and cities shall be torn down because they are not inhabited.

For these things, gird yourselves with sackcloth and lament and howl, because the wrath of the Lord has not turned back from you.
