For a mortal born of a woman is short-lived and full of wrath.

or like a flower having bloomed it fell away, and it fled like a shadow, and it shall not stand
And did I not also make account of this one, and you made this one enter into judgment before you?
For who will be clean from filth? But not one.
If even one day is the life of him on the earth, and his months are numbered with you, you have appointed a time, and he will by no means pass beyond it
Turn away from him, that he may rest and be pleased with life, as the hired worker does
For there is hope for a tree; for if it is cut down, it will still sprout again, and its shoot will not fail.
For if its root grow old in the earth, and its stem die in the rock,
From the smell of water it will blossom; it will make a harvest like a newly planted shoot.
But a man, when he dies, is gone; and a mortal, when he falls, is no more.
For in time the sea becomes scarce, and a river, being desolated, dries up.
But a man, having lain down, shall not rise until the heaven shall not be sewn together, and they shall not be awakened from their sleep
For if only in Hades you had kept me, and had hidden me until your wrath should cease, and would appoint me a time in which you would make mention of me.
For if a man should die, shall he live again? Having completed the days of his life, I will wait until I become again.
Then you will call, and I will obey you; but do not reject the works of your hands.
But you have numbered my doings, and none of my sins will by no means pass by you.
But you have sealed up my lawless deeds in a bag; and if I have by compulsion transgressed anything, you have marked it.
But indeed, a falling mountain shall be shattered, and a rock shall grow old from its place.
Waters grind down stones, and waters have flooded away the soil of the earth, and you have destroyed the patience of man
You crush him forever and he goes away; you change his face and send him away
If his sons become many, he does not know it; and if they become few, he is not aware of it.
But his flesh was in pain, and his soul mourned.
