A man lacking understanding has no need of wisdom, for rather he is led by folly.
When an ungodly man comes into the depth of evils, he despises; and dishonor and reproach come upon him.
Deep water is a word in the heart of a man, but a river springs up and a fountain of life
To show partiality to the face of the ungodly is not good, nor is it right to turn aside the just in judgment.
A fool’s lips lead him into evils, and his bold mouth calls for death.
The mouth of a fool is ruin to him, and his lips are a snare to his soul.
Sluggards are cast down by fear, but the souls of the fainthearted will hunger.
He who does not heal himself in his works is a brother to him who destroys himself
The name of the Lord is from greatness of strength; and the righteous, having run to it, are exalted.
The substance of a rich man is a fortified city, but its glory greatly overshadows it.
Before destruction a man’s heart is exalted, and before glory it is humbled.
He who answers a word before hearing, it is folly for him and disgrace.
A prudent servant softens a man’s anger, but who can bear a fainthearted man?
The heart of the prudent acquires perception, and the ears of the wise seek understanding.
A man’s gift makes room for him and sets him down among rulers.
The righteous is his own accuser in the first speaking; but when the adversary comes on, he is examined.
A lot settles disputes, and it sets boundaries among the mighty.
A brother helped by a brother is like a fortified and high city, and it is strong like a kingdom having been founded.
From the fruit of a man’s mouth his belly is filled, but from the fruit of his lips he will be satisfied.
Death and life are in the hand of the tongue, and those who hold it will eat its fruits.
